Town of Oyster Bay Spring Harbor Cleanup & Marine Education Day

Join us at the Town of Oyster Bay's Annual Spring Harbor Cleanup and Marine Education Day! 

​

We'll be set up in the marine education exhibition area where you can get hands-on with our bioartifact collection, real bird wings, feet, and skulls, and learn about the local species that call Oyster Bay home and the role they play in the coastal ecosystem.

​

This free community event welcomes volunteers of all ages, from families to scout troops, to help clean up the beaches and shorelines of Oyster Bay Harbor while learning about marine ecology and environmental stewardship. Cleanup registration begins at 8:30 AM at the gazebo.

​

Cherry Blossom Tree

Celebrate spring with the Planting Fields and the CI Bird Sanctuary. Join us among blooming magnolias and flowering cherry trees of Planting Fields Arboretum for a weekend of nature, learning, and family fun.

Visitors can take part in guided bird walks to spot spring migrants and stop by our educational table to learn more about local bird conservation and habitat.​
