Scheduling is open for veterans, and no prior birding or sailing experience is needed.

The Ida May is a restored 1925 oyster dredge that brings Long Island’s working waterfront history to life. Once used in the local oyster industry, she now serves as a platform for education, sailing, and community connection on Oyster Bay Harbor.
Join us for a collaborative tour with the Waterfront Center aboard the Ida May, where participants will embark on a guided birding experience through Oyster Bay Harbor, exploring local wildlife while engaging with the region’s maritime heritage.
