The CI Bird Sanctuary and the Stirling Harbor Foundation are teaming up for a full weekend of community, conservation, and maritime heritage. We will be tabling both days of the festival in downtown Greenport.
Stop by our booth to meet our team, learn about our latest environmental and education initiatives, and find out how you can get involved in protecting our local wildlife and waterfront history. Whether you are a lifelong local or just visiting for the weekend, we would love to connect with you!

The CI Bird Sanctuary is heading to the East Coast's largest waterfront festival! We will be tabling both days at Oyster Fest in Oyster Bay.
Come visit our table on Audrey Ave to learn more about our education initiatives, explore the programs we offer for students and families, and find out how you can get involved with our work connecting people to birds, science, and the natural world. We’ll also have information about upcoming programs and events, so stop by, say hello, and help us celebrate all things Oyster Bay!

Join CI Bird Sanctuary and the North Shore Wildlife Sanctuary naturalists for a relaxing afternoon outside at Shu Swamp. Come spend time in nature, connect with others in the community, and enjoy the simple experience of bird watching. We’ll take a slow walk through the preserve, looking and listening for birds along the way while getting to know the wildlife and beauty around us. No birding experience necessary!
East End Duck Tour

Explore the arriving ducks this fall! Join us aboard Easy Street for a 2-hour cruise of Peconic Bay, where we’ll look for arriving winter ducks and participate in citizen science. Each expedition is limited to 6 passengers, so reserve your spot today!
Duck Detectives: Bills

How can you tell what a duck eats just by looking at its bill? Young detectives examine real bird skulls, test how bill shapes gather food with CI Bird Sanctuary educators, and head to the marina with binoculars to watch winter ducks feed.

Drop-off program, grouped by age (5–8 and 9–12). We go outside rain or shine, so dress for the weather. Binoculars provided.
